We are Lycia & Clément and welcome to our world.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
Lycia

I started super young as my grandma’s favorite model (easy, I’m an only child!). She always had a camera or a photo in her hand, and my grandma Mauricette taught me that photos and films are amazing memories we leave for the people we love. They help us build ourselves, with the kind eye of the person who created them.

After studying Information and Communication Sciences, I discovered the world of documentaries during my Cinema Master’s. But hey, I’ll get to that in the next section! At university, at the end of an English class, our teacher asked if there were any photographers in the room. Of course, I didn’t dare raise my hand… But everyone pointed at me (and at Weifu, who also did photography :))! That’s how I ended up photographing his daughter’s wedding—a lovely experience that turned into another session the following year for professional portraits. Naturally, it made me want to keep going!

Clément

My dad collects old cameras, so our house is full of photography-related stuff. I even found some plates from the early 1900s in the attic! A cousin of ours used to take portraits of people in the village… As soon as I could, I started buying more and more specific equipment to bring my ideas to life. There was macro photography (the reeeally tiny stuff), infrared (I removed the filter from my sensor!), cyanotypes, pinhole cameras, obviously analog photography with lots of different cameras, double exposure, aerial photography, and so much more… I even had a blog where I shared all my experiments and tested gear that brands sent me. Of course, every vacation was a perfect excuse to shoot landscapes and travel photos. For years, concert photography gave Lycia and me the chance to explore tons of venues and festivals, while also improving our skills in tough low-light conditions. Recently, I’ve gotten super into astrophotography, which ties perfectly with the region where I live. At the same time, I went through a long academic journey and eventually earned a PhD in biology (makes sense now why I’m so into the technical aspects of photography, right?). I’m currently working in that field. When Lycia started her business, she began getting more and more requests for wedding photography and films. It wasn’t possible for her to handle both at the same time, so that’s how I joined the adventure!

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

Lycia is a wedding filmmaker based in Bordeaux.

During my Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking, one of my writing professors once told me, “Filming someone is an act of love.” That sentence has stayed with me ever since. It immediately brought back the image of my grandmother with her camera in hand. When I look at the footage she filmed, that’s all I see. Today, it’s my job, and I’ve come to realize how true that is. Kindness, a lack of judgment, and a sense of wonder are all qualities this practice has taught me to cultivate.

Naturally curious and very sensitive, this combination helps me notice the little things—the details—and pay close attention to your emotions. While staying discreet, I let things unfold naturally. I try to simply be a witness, letting you live the moment as if I weren’t there to film it. When I film your wedding, I’m like a family member capturing as many memories as possible, with all the care and kindness I can bring. Then, I step into the role of editor and turn it into a film, filled with the impressions I gathered on that day.

That’s pretty much “my recipe for wedding films”—which is to say, there isn’t one. Creating the same film over and over with interchangeable faces just doesn’t interest me. That’s why I love diving into your unique stories, your little quirks. I let myself be carried by you, your guests, the atmosphere, and… the magic just happens!

PHOTOGRAPHER AND VIDEOGRAPHER DUO
The origin

We’ve been thinking about forming a duo for a long time. Actually, we’ve been learning from each other since 2009!

It was during a trip to Mexico that we realized our thirst for discovery and our love for the world’s cultures. The spirit of the West and these men born on horseback (our logo is inspired by our companion from the fields) really fascinated us. In Mexico, they still call men « Los Caballeros », even though horses are no longer as much a part of the landscape. So we felt like bringing a little bit of that identity back to France (and maybe a hat or two!). Because we’ve got the horses and the cameras!

The world of weddings

We did our first wedding shoot in 2014, in Cher, for the wedding of two wonderful friends. After that, word of mouth spread, and we started doing shoots every season. The experience we gained allowed us to specialize. Not everyone gets to witness such joyful events, where people come together to show their love! There are so many elements that make this day really special to us: adrenaline, lots of interaction with the couple and their loved ones, beautiful intercultural encounters

Other fields

We’re also photographers and videographers in other areas. Clément specializes in landscapes and tourism, and he’s also the creator of exhibitions. Lycia is a portrait photographer for individuals, guiding them through every stage of life—birth, childhood, family, artist portfolios—and also works with professionals and businesses. With a background in documentary filmmaking, she creates documentary and corporate films and is part of a collective of cinema professionals as a director and director of photography.
